Welcome to the RCC’s COVID-19 Hackathon
COVID-19 continues to impact every facet of our working and personal lives. The RCC has set up high-performance computing resources and services to help the University of Chicago community researchers.
To bring together researchers across the university, we are hosting a COVID-19 visualization hackathon for the social sciences. We have a selection of projects you can choose to be part of, or you can bring your own projects.

Application Deadline: August 14th, 2020
This application form will need to be completed
Application Announcement: April 21st
Participants are informed if they have been selected
Project Consultation: August 21st-Sept 11th
Each project will be assigned an expert who will help guide the team and answer questions via slack
Pre-hackathon party: Sept 11th, 2020
An evening of fun and games to introduce teams to each other.
COVID-19 Visualization for the Social Sciences Hackathon: Sept 12th, 2020
The hackathon will take plce via Zoom and will utilize Slack and Github.
